AHA-O-ALO runs the following centers in remotest rural parts of North 24 Parganas of West Bengal, India. A non formal education centre having experienced and qualified teachers for the rural children and dropouts, under the direct patronage of our Governing body. Special care is taken for the dropouts so that they can make the comeback in normal life. Our teachers teach these students science, grammar, mathematics and general knowledge in scientific way which is much easy and quite fun and exciting. |

We provide all sorts of educational materials including books, papers, slates, wall maps, pens, bags, uniforms and more and nutrious food. In every month students are encouraged to take part in several extra curricular activities, like plays, recitation, talk shows, quiz competition etc.
Our respective members has been consistently motivating the rural youths to start entrepreneurship both technical trading and manufacturing type. Moreover we involve the youths whole heartedly and facilitate them with the information from technical, financial and legal aspects such as essential and sufficient information for technical marketing, working skill, financial resources, infrastructures requirement, and success stories through training. Later they are provided vocational trainings for further improvement. We conduct computer training programs (both hardware and software), repairing of T.V, Fridge and other electronic equipments, tailoring, carpentry, screen printing and sustaining activities relevant to agriculture and fishery. An upbeat response among the rural youths has been noticed which further boosts their life. Hence they are quite capable to protest Human Right Violation. Special attention is given to women of remote rural areas in North 24 Parganas in handicrafts making as it facilitates them in income generation. Beside this we emphasize on Adult Education.
Free quality health checkup facilities at regular intervals are done here. Local peoples are treated freely but with care by our respected senior doctors. Also we have arranged several critical operations/surgeries in reputed nursing homes and hospitals for the very poor.
We have organized several awareness programs and campaigns related to (1) domestic violence against women, (2) against drug abuse of local youths, (3) AIDS control and awareness, (4) preventing child marriage, (5) pre and post natal care, (6) encouraging entrepreneurship development, (7) making safe drinking water, (8) hygienic living (9) raising awareness about environment, (10) boosting self confidence. click to see some of our ongoing projects for the upliftment of these people
