Justification of the Project: Development of entrepreneurship spirit among the rural youths of North 24 Parganas, is essential as the traditional way of living (agriculture, fishery, etc..) is limited day by day; thereby creating a huge number of unemployment in rural sector. Entrepreneurship will create more jobs than ever before through. Falling trade barriers, improved communications, the internet and globalization have facilitated creation of new ventures worldwide. Then why should the rural youth be deprived of being an entrepreneur. “Entrepreneurship Development for rural youths” program of ASHA-O-ALO aims to address this issue. |

Our Objectives: Encouraging entrepreneurship as a profession is our primary objective. Moreover if we can involve the youths whole heartedly and facilitate them with the information from technical, financial and legal aspects, the result would be a success story. Unemployment brings frustration which leads to drug affection, illegal activities and mental hindrance. As our activity area is a remote village across Indo-Bangladesh border many youths are being dragged to illegal activities easily as employment rate is considerably low. We are quite hopeful that our dedicated service can illuminate “Lights and Hope” in this region. |

Our Achievements and the Milestones Ahead: Our respective members has been consistently motivating the rural youths to start entrepreneurship both technical trading and manufacturing type. We provide essential and sufficient information for technical marketing, working skill, financial resources, infrastructures requirement, and success stories through training at regular time interval of three months. Later they are provided vocational trainings for further improvement. We conduct computer training programs (both hardware and software), repairing of T.V, Fridge and other electronic equipments, tailoring, carpentry, screen printing, greeting cards making, packaging, marketing, juice making and other enhanced and sustaining activities relevant to agriculture and fishery. An upbeat response among the rural youths has been noticed which will further boost their life. We look forward to set up an institute which will cover these issues under one platform and guide the rural youths to avail help from technical, financial and legal experts either from govt. or private institutes and from individuals. |
